In Loving Memory of Patricia Spruyt
Patricia Elizabeth Spruyt (nee Zinken) passed away on July 4, 2026 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She is at peace in the loving arms of Jesus.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her; sons, Michael Spruyt (Lynnette)and Adam Spruyt; cherished grandchildren, Karson Spruyt, Kyra Spruyt, and Jaydalynn Jaeger. and brother, Bob Zinken (Linda)
She was predeceased by two brothers, her parents and a sister.
Patricia was a deeply devoted and caring person who dedicated her life to serving others. As a child, she treasured attending church camps, where her faith began to flourish. That faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She went on to become a teacher, a profession she embraced with dedication and pride for many years, inspiring and nurturing countless students along the way.
Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. Her sons, Michael and Adam, were the center of her world, and she treasured watching them grow into the men they became. Becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness. Whether she was playing games, spending sunny days at the beach, making crafts, sharing meals, or simply enjoying time together, she created treasured memories that her grandchildren will carry with them forever.
Patricia also found great joy in her community. She was an active member of her book club, participated faithfully in Bible studies, volunteered with the hospital auxiliary, and loved singing with the Northern Crossings Choir. She embraced every opportunity to connect with others, serve her community, and fill her days with the things she loved most.
She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She shared her passion for reading, taught the importance of preparing meals with love, and passed on lasting lessons of kindness, generosity, creativity, and the importance of family. Her quiet strength, warm heart, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia’s absence leaves a profound void, but her legacy of love, faith, compassion, and service will continue to live on through her family, friends, former students, and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
