Gordon Edward Wren
1944- 2026
Gordon Edward Wren, age 81, of Caroline, Alberta passed away on June 11, 2026. He was born on October 21, 1944, and lived a life filled with hard work, love for the outdoors, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
Gordon took great pride in his career as a plant and battery operator in the oil and gas industry, where he worked for several decades. His dedication and strong work ethic was recognized by many. Outside of work, Gordon found joy in the simple pleasures of life- his love for horses, camping, quading, fishing, and hunting. He especially loved taking long drives through the West Country, where he felt most at peace surrounded by nature.
Gordon is survived by his beloved daughter, Shelley Wren Orlesky, and his two cherished granddaughters, Shaelynn Fiddler and Juliana Orlesky. He is also survived by his niece. Theresa Donaghy (Lloyd Cox), along with great nieces and nephews Steven, Cassandra, Alex, and Gallen. Gordon will also be remembered by his nephew Loran (Danyle) Collison and great nieces and nephews Kyle, Ryland, and Jordis. He also leaves behind many cousins and countless good friends (Mel Neilsen) who will miss his warmth, humor, and kindness.
Gordon was predeceased by his dear father Clarence (Curly) Wren and his beloved mother Irene Wren and his loving sister Frances Neilsen.
A family burial service will be held at a later date to honor Gordon's life and legacy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
