Obituary

Donna Boratynec, peacefully passed away at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre on January 14, 2026, at the age of 80 years old.
Donna was born in Brandon, Manitoba on February 14, 1945, growing up there until the age of 16, then she moved on, eventually finding herself in Calgary. This is where she met her love Emil Boratynec, and a year later they were married in Vegreville, surrounded by his family. Back to Calgary, continuing their careers and raising their family. With 4 children, Donna was mostly focused on the family. But she did do the books for their businesses. In 1985, they purchased property in Camrose and moved there, then in 1998, Buck Lake called them, and where they have called home since.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years Emil; then her 4 children; Ken (Robbie), Dwayne, Debbie and Darren; her 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister Rose; 2 nieces; and numerous extended family members from Emil’s side of the family.
Donna lived a very private and quiet life, so her family will have a family gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.
