Clayton Rettie passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 81 years.
Clayton James Rettie was born to parents Miriam “Dolly” and Lorne Rettie of the Tiger Lily (Barrhead) area on June 2, 1944, completing their family of 4 children.
When Clayton’s father passed, Clayton took over the farm. To ensure the growth of the farm he chose to work for 22 years on the drilling rigs, all over Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories.
In Clayton’s younger years, he loved being outside, playing hockey, baseball, golf and skiing along with hunting or on a lake fishing. Always along side close friends and family. Clayton really enjoyed travelling, to places like Hawaii, Cuba, Mexico and even cruises.
Clayton leaves behind his companion Bev May; his children and their children; daughter Beth, grandchildren Tiffeny, Rhychelle, Kandace, Clayton & families; daughter Sherry, grandchildren Destiny, Burgandy, Dustin & families; son Lorne (Ashley); grandchildren: Kaleb, Shealynn and Aidan.
He was predeceased by his parents Miriam “Dolly” and Lorne, siblings Lorne “George”, Grace and Florence, Beth’s companion Mervin and Sherry’s ex-companion Don, ex-spouse Janice Rettie, and ex-companion Gene Kirsch.
