Obituary

Lorri Ann Bott (Rolfsen)
December 17, 1967 - July 15, 2026

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lorri Bott on July 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family following a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Rocky Mountain House on December 17, 1967, Lorri built a life centred on kindness, compassion and family. She spent many years working for the school division where her caring nature, dedication and genuine love for others touched the lives of countless students, families and colleagues.

Above all else, Lorri was a devoted mother. Her daughters, Ashley, Kelsey and Jenna were her greatest accomplishment and the centre of her world. She loved them fiercely and taught them, through her own example, the importance of strength, kindness and unconditional love.

Later in life, becoming “Grandma” to Brennix and Jaix filled her heart in a way only grandchildren can. They brought endless smiles, laughter and pride, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Lorri had a gift for finding beauty in every day. She never missed a rainbow after the rain and loved warm summer evenings spent watching the fireflies and admiring the moon. Those quiet moments became treasured memories for her family, and now every rainbow, every firefly and every moonlit night will bring thoughts of her and the love she leaves behind.

Lorri will be deeply missed by her daughters Ashley (Derek), Kelsey, and Jenna (Bryce); her beloved grandsons, Brennix and Jaix; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Viola Rolfsen, and sister Charlotte.

In keeping with Lorri's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.

Forever loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.

Condolences

Daylene Kingsbury :

Lorri was such a wonderful EA for Terin in grade 2. She so graciously let my kids enjoy catch and release of some giant trout at the family pond that was made in memory of her mom. Even today while we were shopping Terin said out of the blue that he wanted to go fishing at Ms. Bott’s. Such a kind sole taken way too soon. ( I haven’t had the heart to tell Terin yet).

Laurie (Mason) Herold:

My deepest sympathy to Lorri's family. She was a beautiful person, with a quick smile.

Natalie Nielsen :

I’m so sad to read of the passing of such a beautiful lady!! She helped 3 of my children in elementary school, and made such a lasting impact that my oldest ( now 15) always said hi to her and remembered her anytime we were out and about around town. She remembered her too, which made it even more heartwarming.
She always had the brightest eyes and biggest smile around the kids she worked with.
My condolences to her family on such a devastating loss !
Mackenzie Nielsen will be sad to her of this, as will the rest of our children.

Barbara Donnelly:

Lorri was an amazing EA and I am thankful I got to work with her. She was a caring person and will be truly missed.

Sandra Luoma:

Lorri and I grew up together and we spent many days exploring around Leslieville. She truly was a bright light and a wonderful friend. May she rest easy now… my deepest condolences to her daughters and grandsons and all her family and friends.

Laura Henning:

I am so saddened to hear of Lori's passing. I had the privilege and honor of working alongside her. Lori treated everyone with love, compassion, kindness, and respect. Her bright, beautiful smile lit up the halls and every room she walked into.
She spoke of you girls and her grandbabies with such pride, love, and adoration. It was always clear how deeply she loved her family.
I will forever consider it an honor and a privilege to have known your mom. She will be deeply missed, and I will always treasure the memories of the time we shared.
I am so incredibly sorry that you have to say goodbye. My thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time.
