Wesley (Wes) Joseph Eror
July 18, 1947 – August 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wesley Joseph Eror of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, on August 3, 2026, at the age of 79, following a short illness.

Wes was born on July 18, 1947, in Nordegg, Alberta. He is lovingly remembered by his foster parents, Alvin and Joyce Sapelak, and by his foster siblings: Duane Sapelak (Susan Parker), Gerry Sapelak, Sheryl Checknita, and his nieces Natasha, Kristyn, Haley and Sydney. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert (Bob) Eror.

Wes dedicated more than 45 years of his working life to the Ministry of Forests. He was an active and valued member of both the Rocky Mountain House Search & Rescue and the Alberta Snowmobile Association. A true outdoorsman, he remained active throughout his life and held a deep connection to the Rocky Mountain House area, where he found joy in the natural world around him.

Wes will be remembered for his lifelong commitment to the outdoors, his service to his community, and the quiet strength he brought to those who knew him.
