Kelley Van Dirstein:
Marlene was always so kind to me and always took the time to stop and chat and to catch up. She loved her family fiercely and spoke with pride about them! She had the best smile and am sending my thoughts and prayers to her family.
Rachel Ryan:
I’m lucky enough to have a few motherly figures in my life and Mar was one of those. I felt cared for and comforted in her presence. She had so much deserved love in her life. Over the years I was captured by her radiant smile as she spoke of her children, grandchildren, friends, students, sewing projects, and of course the pageants. Through difficult times she was full of grace. I send my love to all who knew her, because to know her was to love her.
Pauline Sauve:

Please know that the incredible friendship, strengths and kindness she showed the world lives on in each of you.
She will forever remain in my heart and memories including her smile!
Sending you all my love and condolences.
Jill & Glenn Malcolm:
Even though it wasn’t long maybe 1 to two years when she attended Altadore Baptist church in Calgary we got to know her fast. She became a part of us and we were sad when she moved. Marlene & I (Jill) had some good laughs. We visited a few summers ago and went on a tourist train and we laughed so hard people were looking at us and were laughing too. I will miss our text chats a lot.
Heaven is rejoicing! See you soon!

To Keri, Kar, and Mike. So sorry for the loss of your mom. The only word I can think of is how pleasant she was. She raised three good kids!
Tim and Carolyn Clow:
We have great memories of Marlene and her ability to give gracefully and wholeheartedly at no matter what she was doing. She was vibrant with the Christmas Pageant at the Lutheran Church every year. She was the best EA at West Central whether she was working directly with a specific student or being a reader and scribe for those students requiring those skills for exams. She was thorough and very knowledgeable, professional and personable at the office at Wilderness Village and was even willing to supply the right color of floss for a cross-stitch project!
We will miss her laugh, her chatter and love. Missing her and thinking of her family.
Pat Ironside:
