Obituary

Courtright, Tammie Elizabeth
1960-2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our unique, determined, endlessly strong mother, sister, auntie, GranTam and friend- Tammie Elizabeth Courtright (Frisk) on June 6, 2026, at 66 years young.

Tammie was born Feb 5, 1960, to her parents Betty and Bill who went on to have three more children, Faye, Steven and Kayanne (deceased). They remarried and each had more children, giving Tammie another brother Owen, two step siblings, Penny and Tammy Lee, and another half-brother Tyler. As the eldest, Tammie held great sway with her siblings, giving all manners of advice and support- usually with some tough talk. Tammie was very close with many of her cousins, with many stories of trouble and rabble-rousing for the interested ear.

Tammie loved music, horses, and alternative everything.

A strong, fiercely independent woman- she spent many years in typically male domains for work who advocating for a more feminine side with friends. She was a deeply caring, loyal, kind and thoughtful person.

She was a very fun grandmother building fairy forts, regular forts, playing games (stumpy wumpy), providing confusing stories, advice and always supporting those who needed it, (whether they liked it or not). She went above and beyond in her unique way, and we will sure miss her distinct way of being in this world. We love you mom/ GramTam /Tammie.

But above all she was a loving mother to Ryan and Sarah Frisk (Auralia, Alexander); Cyra and Dar (Ailsa, Nula), Errol and Lisa (Ella,Emmet).

She is missed by her siblings, Fay, Steven, Owen (Pam), Tyler (Janet), Penny (Scott), and Tammy- Lee, many nieces, and nephews, her stepmother Jan Baldry, aunts, uncles, cousins, her lifelong friend Shelly Anderson. The one who misses her most is her good dog Whistle.

Tammie was predeceased by her father Bill Courtright, Mother Betty Stewart, Stepfather Ken Stewart, Sister Kayanne Baxter and Nephew Chance Baxter (Infant)

On August 1st, 2026, Tammie’s siblings and their families will gather at the Aurora Hall grounds to remember and celebrate her life at 1pm. Friends to Tammie are welcome to join her extended family during this time.
